Born in Chicago, IL, Toni Ory has been an artist at heart since
childhood. She received her formal training in arts and design
at the University of Illinois, Urbana. Toni has furthered her education
in various art forms through workshops and classes at local colleges
and art leagues.
An award winning artist, she has been creating professionally
since 1980. Over the years, her work has been presented in numerous
shows
and exhibits. She is currently represented in shops in the Chicago
area and in Florida, at galleries and shops in both Sanibel Island
and Bonita Springs. Toni's work includes watercolor, mixed media
and graphics. She has also created a line of hand crafted note
cards, “Oryginals,” with other creative ideas in development.
Public collections representing her work include hospitals, restaurants,
and other businesses.
Toni has extensive experience working with
interior designers and has participated and exhibited in numerous
model home shows. Creating
fine artwork for both residential and commercial applications is
her specialty. She is also busy with calligraphy for both weddings
and personalized items. In her spare time, she instructs in calligraphy.
Formerly residing in Naperville, Illinois, Toni and her husband
Jim moved to Sanibel Island, Florida in 2003 to enjoy tropical
living. They have a combined family of three grown children and
currently five grandchildren. Traveling, gardening, bicycling,
swimming, and enjoying nature fill their "empty nest" years.
